The Pentikäinen Family Society

The Family Society of Pentikäinen was established in Nilsiä, Finland in 1988 when the first meeting of the family society was held. The purpose of the family society is to maintain and initiate contacts among family members, obtain, organize, and preserve family information for future generations, and distribute material to its members, among other things. Currently there are 341 members from Finland, Sweden, Canada, Russia, Germany and Switzerland.

The Society welcomes warmly also new members. If you are interested in joining the Pentikäinen Family Society, please, click here The most visible activity of the society is the Family Reunion which is held every three years. Latest one was held in Tuusula, Finland in 2012. And the next one will be organized in Kärsämäki, Finland, on July 25-26, 2015. Usually circa 80-100 people participate in reunions. The society has published two editions of the Family Book. First one in 1997 and the second in 2012. The society publishes a magazine, Pentikäisten sukulehti, which has usually two issues per year. The annual membership fee is currently 15 euros for a single member and 30 euros for a family membership. Membership includes subscription of the Pentikäinen Family magazine.
